Iloilo City is hosting three of the country’s biggest events showcasing the booming sectors of construction, travel, and food, at Iloilo Convention Center (Icon) on July 13-16, seen as a boost to the local economy recovering from the pandemic.

Mayor Jerry P. Treñas stressed the gathering of thousands of attendees bolsters the city’s growing popularity as a premier MICE destination, and a welcome development to revive the economy.
The world-class expositions will showcase local and international innovations and the best in the industries in the Philippine Building and Construction Expo (PHILBEX ILOILO), Iloilo Food and Beverage Expo (IFBEX), and Travel and Leisure Expo (TLEX ILOILO), organizers said.

“We are positive that the event can generate substantial economic activity beneficial to potential key players in the industry. We are expecting more than 30,000 attendees and over 200 local and international participating companies,” Worldbex Services International (WSI) Managing Director Jill Aithnie Ang said.

Iloilo is truly a prime location for economic growth, making the region a great positioning for business opportunities, according to WSI.

PHILBEX unites the finest construction and design professionals and companies for a groundbreaking feature of over 130 booths.

IFBEX works towards championing the region’s freshest and most innovative food and beverage products to the rest of the country and beyond.

TLEX opens new doors, experiences, and opportunities for travel enthusiasts as well as for the numerous businesses and investors engaged in the tourism and hospitality industries. (Iloilo City PIO)
